Nana Ohene Adu is a mother, an educator, an entrepreneur and a scientist with a passion to connect individuals to their dreams through the grace of God. She has a degree in Biochemistry/Food science (University of Ghana), a post graduate in Management Development in Practices and Communications (University of Cape Town) and certificates in Social Impact Strategy, Interpersonal Skills, Leadership Development, Project Management, Training of Trainers, Business Process Framework, Influencing people, Personal Branding and recently, John Hopkins Contact Tracing – COVID19. She co-founded the LEAP (Leading to Enhance Abilities & Potential) Social Impact organization, comprising of an elementary school, a reading / mentoring club for the youth and a Girl’s skills development hub. Nana is passionate about community development and the creation of healthy ecosystems for sustainable livelihoods. Through her LEAP Sikapa for Girls initiative she together with her team has provided Mentoring, Career Guidance, leadership, Technical and Vocational Skills training to over 1500 youth in Obuasi, surrounding villages and nationwide. She worked in Mineral Processing (AngloGold Ashanti Ltd) for 21years; rising through the ranks from Biochemist through Management Training to HR and Business improvement as Project Manager/Senior Specialist – Employee Engagement, AGA, West Africa. She had her Haggai Leaders Experience in 2008 (Singapore) and has since then been a vibrant member of the Ghana association (Training and development). She is currently the West Africa Representative for Haggai Leaders, Ghana. Nana serves on the Board for Justice and Peace, Obuasi Diocesan Commission. She is an executive member of Women In Mining, Ghana, a member of the Accra Mining Network, a member of Ghana Quality Organization and her company is a consultant for the Ghana Business Resource Center. Nana hails from Akrofuom in the Adansi district of the Ashanti region of Ghana and is proud to be an African. She is married to Aboagye Ohene Adu and blessed with two children; Abena and Kofi Ohene Adu.
